Men’s Mentorship & Discipleship Ministry

 

Scripture Foundation

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:13–14

Men are called by God to lead with courage, integrity, and humility. Yet in every generation, men face battles—spiritual, emotional, and practical—that require strength from above and guidance from brothers in Christ. Coals of the Flame is the men’s mentorship ministry of Powered by Christ Ministries, devoted to helping men grow into the leaders, husbands, fathers, and disciples God created them to be.

When coals are gathered together, the flame grows hotter. When a coal is removed from the fire, it grows cold. This ministry exists to keep men in the fire of God’s presence, sharpened by the Word, strengthened by fellowship, and ignited by the Holy Spirit.

 

Our Purpose

Coals of the Flame seeks to raise up godly men who are:

  • Grounded in Scripture

  • Strengthened in character

  • Equipped to lead their homes and communities

  • Accountable to one another

  • Faithful in prayer, purity, and discipleship

Our mentorship approach combines teaching, fellowship, counsel, and practical guidance for living out the Christian faith every day.

 

Our Approach to Mentorship

We mentor men through:

  • One-on-one discipleship

  • Small group Bible studies

  • Accountability partnerships

  • Practical teaching on spiritual disciplines

  • Guidance in identity, calling, and leadership

  • Prayer support and fellowship

Our desire is that each man grows in spiritual maturity, emotional strength, and Christlike character.

Raising the Next Generation: Boys Mentorship

​

Coals of the Flame also provides mentorship for boys and young men. This includes:

  • Teaching biblical identity

  • Encouraging purity and godly decision-making

  • Guiding them in discipline and responsibility

  • Preparing them for leadership in the church and community

We believe the investment made in young men today prepares the next generation of godly husbands, fathers, pastors, and leaders.

 

What We Teach

Depending on location and community needs, our mentorship focuses on:

  • Spiritual foundations and discipleship

  • The role of a godly man

  • Leadership and servant-hearted authority

  • Family, marriage, and fatherhood

  • Overcoming temptation and walking in purity

  • Integrity, honesty, and accountability

  • Spiritual warfare and prayer

Where local Bible-believing churches exist, we work alongside them—strengthening their men’s ministry, providing leadership training, and sending new converts to their fellowship for ongoing discipleship. Where such a church is absent, our ministry provides both the teaching and the structure needed to raise strong, Christ-centered men in the community.

  • Reject passivity and worldly compromise

  • Protect and serve their families

  • Become pillars in their local church

  • Mentor the next generation

We believe God is raising men of fire—men who burn with passion for Christ and reflect His strength and love in every area of life.
