“Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the heavy burdens,
to let the oppressed go free,
and that you break every yoke?
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
when you see the naked, that you cover him…?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning…”
— Isaiah 58:6–8
At Powered by Christ Ministries, we believe that the love of Jesus must be demonstrated through compassionate action. Our Community Outreach Pillar exists to meet practical needs, lift burdens, and bring hope to underserved communities in the name of Christ.
Through feeding programs, school support, clothing distributions, and long-term development initiatives, we work to show the love of Jesus in ways that restore dignity, strengthen families, and open hearts to the Gospel. We serve not only with our hands, but with prayer, encouragement, and a desire to empower communities to flourish both spiritually and physically.
By the grace of God, we will also build schools, clinics, shelters for homeless, refugee centers for women and teens, and bible schools as our ministry grows in the communities. And in all the community work that we do, we will look to partner with local leaders and churches (if there are any) within the communities that we operate in.
All in all, the community will be empowered through the Lord Jesus to become Powered by Christ and take care of it's own community and duplicate it in others.
PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: Kenyan Girls Outreach
Across Kenya, thousands of teenage girls face significant challenges during their menstrual cycle due to lack of access to basic personal care products. This monthly struggle leads to embarrassment, social isolation, missed school days, and in many cases, dangerous vulnerability to exploitation.
UNICEF reports reveal:
-
65% of girls in the Kibera slum have traded sex for menstrual products.
-
54% of Kenyan girls struggle to access sanitary items.
-
22% of schoolgirls must purchase their own supplies.
-
Girls from low-income families miss up to 20% of school days annually because of period poverty.
These precious daughters of God deserve dignity, protection, and hope.
Our Response
Powered by Christ Ministries launched the Kenyan Girls Personal Care Outreach to provide support, encouragement, and essential supplies to girls across Kajiado and Nairobi counties.
Our goal is to reach 5,000 girls every month by partnering with local schools to provide:
-
Monthly personal care packages
-
Prayer and mentorship
-
Teaching on identity, safety, and spiritual growth
-
Emotional and practical support through our volunteers
We partner with schools where we have access and supplies.
Our Mission
To grant hope and dignity to the Kenyan teenage girl by reducing or eliminating the monthly burdens associated with her menstrual cycle, and to reflect the healing and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
By God’s grace, to provide as many girls as possible with personal care products—reducing absenteeism, preventing exploitation, and empowering them to walk in confidence, identity, and purpose.
